Why a welding table? |

| A 3-D welding table is the basis for a fast and accurate
manufacturing of welded parts. It is used for positioning of single parts
where it ensures the straightness and angularity, furthermore it minimizes
the welding distortion and thus reduces the costs dramatically.
It is absolutely essential for a single-part production and serves as a flexible fixation system in a series production. |

What are the advantages of Foerster 3-D welding tables? | ||
| - table surfaces are designed in grey cast iron or in Al-Cu
alloy as an optimum material - all stops can be steplessly set with high precision - table surface can be opened to accommodate any protruding parts - rails of table surface can be used to extend the table - due to the use of standard T-slot sliding blocks it is not necessary to put any special clamping elements into sensitive locating holes. The sliding surface of the T-slot sliding block is safely protected from welding spatters and no dirt can get inside through the bottom-opened T-slot. | ||
How much load can the welding table carry? | ||
| useful load of standard table: up to 3,000
kg concentrated load for grey cast iron: up to 1,500 kg concentrated load for Al-Cu alloy: up to 1,000 kg | ||

How sensitive is the table surface to welding splatters? | ||
| cast-iron table surface: | ||
| - adhesion of welding spatters to grey cast iron is considerably lower
in comparison with steel - grey cast iron ages and shares of graphite diffuse to the surface → the older the table, the better the protection - grey cast iron has a porous structure → a protective agent, that should be applied in regular intervals in the beginning, is deposited in the structure and forms a safe protection | ||
| Al-Cu table surface: | ||
| - due to a high thermal conductivity → low adhesion of splatters - however, use of a protective release agent is still recommended | ||
